I have a small problem with a pc. it reboots at radom with out warning. this makes it very hard to get any thing done on it. it has me stumped any help would be greatful.

High possibility of the following.

1) Overheating issue. What are your temps in the bio's at start up? What cooling do you have on everything?

2) Bad RAM issue.

3) Bad VRAM issue.

Or it could be a faulty / in adaquent power supply. Whats aint all :P you only got 24 a going to 12v idk if that is enough for what you got though I am not to smart when it comes to psu.

and you might wanna shorten your sig. only suppose to be 10 lines i beleive. You have 15

the nice thing is i glad i had spares lying around to try to find the problem.

Okay, first you want to go into System Properties, Advanced Tab, Startup and Recovery Settings and uncheck the Automatically Restart box under System Failure.

This will enable the infamous Blue Screen Of Death, which is actually helpful in determining the cause of your problem.

Try to keep track of what you are doing and what programs and processes are running whenever you get a failure and maybe we can narrow the problem down. My initial guess is a driver conflict.

you guess was right. i had 2 diffrent usb drivers using the same resoures. i had a usb 1.1 on mainboard and a usb 2.0 pci card. removed the pci card and the problem went a way for now. thank for the help.
