I'd say you could scale back 2 steps on the processor & Mobo, lose the eye candy PS and go for the better vid card up front... you'd have a better system for about the same money. Probably far better if games are your interest.

IMHO. Just my 0.02

Looks pretty good, but I'd get this video card instead:

How does this compare to the Nvidia 260GTX 216core SCE?

I am getting the MoBo because im a first time OCer and that board is suposedly the best//easiest board to OC on + it has a nice Sound card(would run about 100$ if i were to purchase another like it[which i would if i didnt get it with the MoBo]) And for the processor i want to OC it to even higher, Which i wouldnt be able to take OC a lower version as far. And taking the processor back 2 would save me 100$ and the Nvidia 280GTX is ~200$ more then the 260GTX and i want to SLI it in the future so i would eventually have to fork out even more money for a second 280 later. As for the PS i like eye candy :P LEDs are my favorite aesthetic of a computer.

Correct me if i misunderstood what you were saying.

Also any suggestions on a diff mobo and CPU and GPU ill look into!

Thank you!!!

I updated the CPU to a Q9300 instead saves about 60$ and then got a second set of ram on the list. Dropped the price a whopping 5dollars.

I think ill get better performance out of 8gs of ram and i can still OC the processor a bit. Keeping the MoBo for ease of use and nice sound card.

8 gigs of ram is a little much.
For only 50$ its a nice upgrade imo. I like multitasking while playing video games. Ive been known to run photosop wow WMP(a video) and itunes at the same time.

Or would 4GBs be enough for what i am going to do?

Duel monitor setup
AMD 3700
2BGs of RAM
And 7800GTX

So you can only imagine how bogged down my system can get :P

PS: does any one know how the

compares to the
