I've built desktops in the past, but that was 10 or so years ago. I do pretty much everything on my laptops, but need a desktop that functions as a server.
-Want some sort of backup or RAID configuration for all my files
-Fast enough to host videos to PS3 and other devices connected
-Intended use is to host current media, files, and to download.
-Fast enough to stay relevant for the next 8 or so years, but doesnt need gaming specs or anything, just enough to stream HD video, music, etc.
-want to be able to access files remotely, possibly control the computer remotely as well. not sure what the best / most up to date way to do this is now days.
What you guys think? can anybody point me in the right direction that already come prepackaged with not much work? I just don't have the time anymore to be messing around with it unfortunately. I appreciate any help you can give!
