i want to create websites and do similar stuff.but i dont know where to begin.
i downloaded a tutorial on HTML and found it simple enough.what next??
do i need to learn a programming language like Java.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
You don't need to know anything other than HTML to be able to create a website. :D You can learn programming languages like JavaScript, Java (although that's a tough one), PHP, ASP etc to enhance features on your site, but by the same token, there's plenty of free scripts available on the web that you can simply cut and paste into your pages. :D

I'd start off by downloading a program like HomeSite or if you're really interested I'd go out and buy FrontPage or Dreamweaver. There are tons of free HTML editors on the web though. Just do a Google search.

As for tutorials, there's tons of those out there on the web too! Page Tutor is a great one if you can find it.
