sun solaris

hey i tried downloading the free sun solaris 10 and when i opened it to do the file processing it was taking a while so i left it for the night and it still didnt get anywhere. plus is it worth it anyways? i never tryed it. any one know if its good and could it run windows apps?

Another person running into installations problems with Solaris 10 on a pc? :P

I tried getting S 10 running on the last build here and was forced to replace it with Mandriva. The OS is based on the UNIX platform similar to Linux but might be proprietary to SUN Microsystems since their prebuilds come with it preinstalled. So far you are only the second person to mention that OS here on CF to my knowledge.

yea i tryed it like 2 times and it didnt do anything
