Super computer OS

My OS is very powerful. I am very scared that 1 day it might go crazy. I click what, it goes to that in 1 sec. Super fast speed. How to slower the speed down a bit? Any idea?

What OS do you have?

You have a super fast computer is becasue you have got 2 CPUs. 1 CPU won't be that fast. And you don't have much things on your computer that is why it can run so fast. Use your common sense, Huang Zhipeng.

*No offence, Mr Huang* I am William, your schoolmate.

Um, wrong again. Dual processor's doesn't mean you computer is fast.

ooooo he got burned...lol
now i am not trying to act all smart and crap, but doesn't having programs open up fast have alot to do wiht harddrive speed? i mean yea, processor is involved but, a FX-60 couldn't do everything instantaniously with a normal harddrive, it would need a 15,000RPM harddrive or mebbe even just a 10K RPM harddrive... am i correct?

There's alot involved actually, no one component will make a huge difference unless it's a sever bottleneck on your system.

Having a fast RPM HDD allows for a faster read/write speed. So if you're accessing data off your harddrive it's an advantage. Sometimes however opening a program uses very little HDD activity, the information might mainly be in RAM.

Having alot of RAM helps, having a fast FSB/HTT helps, having a fast CPU helps, etc. There's countless things that can be upgraded to improve operating system speed.

Having dual CPU's is no advantage unless you can take advantage of both of them, for practical purposes. He might be running dual P3's, which is nothing compared to a single A64 processor for the most part. Now if he were running dual Xeon's that were pretty recent that's more impressive, but it's FAR AWAY from a "super computer."

That user who started this thread is Banned that means this thread is useless is it? * i don't understand*

as long as people are making points i think it should stay, others can always learn from it

i would say the transfer speed of the overall pc,

or it could be the motherboard and the IDE cable speed

cant people just talk to other people nicly with out using rasicm and things like dat, wans.t there a thread between sum guy called doom, he was a ***ker

and yea leave them cause people might have the same prob, lol

but why worry if your computer is super fast, enjoy it
