Surface Pro Vs iPad Pro

My friend and I are graphic design majors and my friend recently looked at some iPad pros with the stylus and seems very interested in them. Not being an apple person I showed her my surface pro 4. I like how I'm able to use a stylus to draw on my surface pro. I also like that it has a full windows 10 OS and can convert from laptop to tablet if I want. The only thing that kind of bothers me is the specs. It has only 4GB of RAM 128GB of hard drive space and intel i5 processor and integrated intel graphics. Luckily I haven't had much problem running photoshop, illustrator, indesign, and dreamweaver on it, which are the main programs I use in my program. I know it's up to my friend rather she gets a surface pro or ipad pro but I just want to know your thoughts on which on is best.

My opinion on tablets, is that they are a toy or a "sofa computer" as i like to call it.
Something you give your kids to play with or quickly browse internet to check up on some news or facebook.

I have no problems with iPads, however i do have some opinions about the Pro version.
I don't understand why anyone would buy that overpriced garbage for professional use. It uses a mobile OS, so you can't be productive as with a real desktop OS.
You can actually download real applications. Not just small mobile apps.
I know there are some iPad exclusive apps that is pretty heavy and aimed towards professional use, but that shit still doesn't compare to Photoshop or Premiere.
And how about writing word documents. What, you gonna use that dumbed down mobile version of word or google docs? get outta here.
So for professional use, i don't get it.

For casual use, it makes more sense. Not the pro ofcause. I think that's the third worst thing apple is producing right now.
But the standard ipad, is a good tablet for reading news, watching youtube videos, let your kid play some games on it or what not. So for that it's fine.
There are ofcause a minor apple tax on it, but it makes up for it with amazing battery life.
