Suse Linux 9.1

I'm trying to boot Suse Linux 9.1 off of the Live CD, but I only get as far as when it says Starting PCMCIA and then it freezes, any idea why?

Is the CD a new copy. (unscratched). Always best to state the obvious.

Do you get the welcome screen with options on, if you do then you will need to install the OS Using "Safe Mode." this is because Linux has only Generic drivers in the CD. So the latest hardware may casue it to hang. If you find the installation still hangs then you need to remove the latest or newest piece of hardware. and try that. The second thing you can do, and it won't be guarenteed. Download the latest copy of the LINUX 11.0 open source install CD. Most 2008 and some 2007 drivers are preloaded but additional drivers may need to be installed.

Hope this helps.
