Suspicious attachment: \1.OLE

I received an email from a co-worker today. She sent an attachment that I was expecting and that should not have been infected. However, the attachment was removed by my McAfee saying that it was a suspicious attachment due to multiple extensions.

When she sent it the file extension was a normal .xls but McAfee the message told me it was .xls\1.OLE

This has also happened once before from another co-worker. I've checked both computer and none are infected.

What does it mean? How do I fix it?

Thanks!

Isnt that the extension for embedded objects? If i were to take a guess, it had a chart/object of some sort in it, correct?

Thanks for your response. It was just a contact list made in an Excel spreadsheet. No embedded objects as fas as I know. Definitely no charts. Could there have been anything that embeds itself that is not visible to the eye?

That just can't be malicious. I suggest you go to McAffee Quarantine and right click on the file. Choose Restore and you should be able to open it.
