I recently connected my computer (xfx 7900 gs video card) to my tv (Mitsubishi wd55315) My tv is capable of 1080i, only when connected thru dvi or component. Well my video card has 2 dvi or 1 s video outputs. I ran a 30' svideo cable and rca audio cables to my tv and connected them to watch downloaded content on my tv from my computer. the svideo only puts 480 thru though. i know i can i get an svideo to component converter but will this up the resoution on my tv? or should i run a dvi to component cable? i already have the svideo cable (30" cables aren't cheap) so if i can get a converter from svid to component this is probably the way to go but i want to know it is going to work before spending more money to get the same resolution. thanks

ok, so can't convert up, but what about going from one of the 2 dvi's on my video card to a component on my tv? will this give me 780 or 1080?
