Swap File: C:/ drive

INFO: I have recently added a 3900mb swap file drive for extra memory (virtual memory) for the computer to use. It already uses 2000-4900mbs on the C:/ where windows is installed. Computer running windows XP (recommends me to use 4952mb).

Questions: Will there be any bad side effects if i remove the swap file space on my C:/ drive? or should i keep it how it is? Is it better to have the space on C:/ as well and does it help windows operate faster?

Thanks :)

Since your current computer already has 4GB of RAM, I usually just lower my swap file to 1 or 2GB, no need to have 2 swap files with that much RAM. I know it recommends that high but it isn't really necessary. 4GB of RAM is plenty so the swap file isn't going to get even close to 4GB used unless you are doing to hardcore stuff like video editing or photoshopping pillboard sized images.
