Do computers still use a swap file? We have so much RAM in our computer now a day I can't see a how you need a swap file or how much RAM do you need so not to use a swap file?

Windows has the paging file enabled by default. However it sometimes has issues and can sometimes cause things to crash without it. I have SSD's in all my machines and at least 8GB of RAM, but I still set the paging file to 1GB just to prevent possible crashes.
