swapping mobo with w7

I have an old computer that I want to install Windows 7 64 bit and a 120G SSD to speed it up. However I also have a brand new asus MOBO that I will be building on later. My question is, with an OEM copy of Windows 7 installed on its own SSD, Will I be able to swap that to the new MOBO later on? Or will I have to get a new copy of W7 oem? I will be doing a clean install when I swap to the new MOBO.

I will be going from Xp 32 bit to W7 64 bit when I do it. I plan on getting an older 64 bit processor to fit the old MOBO (LGA775 with p5k chipset)

I am pretty proficient with hardware, but the operating system stuff is still a little new to me.

Thanks for any help.

2 things.
1. p5k is an asus model, not the chipset. It should be running either the 945 or 965 intel chipset for that socket.

2. You will need another copy when you build. OEM windows is limited to one motherboard only. Even if you have to replace your motherboard it will sometimes throw it and illegitimate the install.
