Switch off pc or internet

Hello all i have a problem with my son using the internet till early hours of the morning i dont what to watch what he is doing im just after a program that will shut the pc down or switch the internet off but it must have a password protection because he isnt the daftest in the world if you know what i mean thanks faz

Pull the modem

A quick fix would be to just remove the modem till morning.

i work nights i dont mind him going on the pc but would like him to come off it at 11 at night

Tryed the first program last night and my son was on till 2 am so i will give the second a try tonight must admit this looks a lot better program aslong as you set the pass words thanks for your help let you know how it goes thanks faz

You can also use an old computer as a hardware firewall and use something like Smoothwall to restrict bandwidth and set internet access times (both amount of time allowed on and restrict access to certain timeframes durinf the day or week). There is an add-on, Dan's Guardian, that seems to do a pretty good job of protecting the kids from the seedier side of the internet.
