switch user button not appear

Dear Sir/Madam

My pc is running under Windows XP Professional....

The switch user button not appear when I would like to switch to other users.

I had tried to turn on 'Fast Switching User on" but it would not allow the configuration to take place even though I had apply options...

My Pc is under the network workgroup, not under the member of network domain...

May I know what is the solution that I could apply in order to solve this problem?

Have you always had a network installed on the machine.. ?
If so, Did it used to come up before the network was installed.. ?
Is the other machine also running a windows XP o/s?

If the operating systems are not both xp versions, it may be that the other computer cannot support fast-user switching, so it won't change the system settings.
