Hi i recently was given a HP Advancestack j3202a switch module from work as the old technician left, it works fine for plug and play but i work specifically with cisco equipment as i am also studying ccna i want to be able to telnet this switch but i need the ip of the machine which i dont know.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to get this ip??
Is there a programme that can send a Rarp request to receive the switches ip?

Thankyou for your time reading this.

You could use a console cable. If you know the enable and enspass.

The do a show run
and search for the ip.
buttt you have to se up the telnet passwords and stuff. Keep studing playa.

If you can't connect to it. it should be you gateway ip. or run a tracert www.google.com

in the cmd prompt. it should say the gateway ip then another ip then another ip the blah blah blah just try to connect too all of them.
