I removed every screw, the screen, everything, but I still can't lift the cover of my V6000...

It can be lifted up a bit, but seems to get stuck at the mouse, and the whole top below the LCD when bolted on)...

Pictures are available if yall need them. Thanks!

I have done the same before but haven't got the same problem. I have removed th cover easily. Don't drag it too much man, you'll break it! Look for some plastic lock or some thing at the sides.

I can't SEE any more screws that I can remove... I'll try a few more things. Where do you find those... plastic locks?

The V6000 has 20 or so screws on the bottom (about 8 are hidden under the battery) and the larger of the 2 plastic pieces on top should pop off, just keep working it until it does but be careful not to crack it, they are a heafty replacement.

googled this problem and I'm c&p-ing one of the answers that elped someone else:

You almost always have to remove the hinges/lcd assembly to get to the motherboard.

On that laptop, I think there are a few screws holding the hinge cover/power button bezel in place (be careful because there's a flex cable on this one). Flip it over, remove the battery, then the screws, then carefully pry up the hinge cover. Remove the keyboard. Disconnect the wireless card antenna wires (and pull them through the hole in the case) and the video cable, then remove the hinge screws to take off the whole lcd cover.
After that, just remove all of the screws from the bottom side of the case, disconnect the track pad cable, then lift the top half of the case off.

It's a fairly straight-forward system to disassemble.

again.. this is not a post made by me :D

Bringing back a dead thread, the battery he was talking about was the main battery, which you said you already got. The panel forward of the keyboard is the one you need to remove next followed by the keyboard I believe and the "lower" (closest to you) plastic panel (I can not remember, I do not have a V6000 near me for the summer).
