switching to amd

alright well.... all you amd users finally go through to me and im , gonna build a amd system

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
ASUS mbo, ill still be using my same hdd and ram etc...

my questions are... this asus motherboard has a NVIDIA nforce4 chipset, is that a decent chipset?

only other question is.... will this 3800+ X2 out run my presler 920 thats OC'd to 3.2ghrz?

yes thats a decent chipset. and it will outperform your intel and if you overclock it it will fly.

most people these days have a a8n sli deluz mobo they canb sell for about 100 pounds now and they are amazing

it wont outperform it initally.. unless you count multithreaded applications that depend more on processing power and less on frequency. ill bet you anything you'll get to 2.4ghz without a Vcore increase though, i know i did.
