Symantec update 12.1RU4A filesize???

Hi. I have limited hard drive space and I'm worried that doing the symantec update 12.1RU4A might take up a lot of space. Am I correct or would the extra space taken up be minimal? (I have about 2GB left)

What is the update for? The program itself or like virus definitions? If you only have 2gb left then you seriously need to buy a bigger drive and clone the old to the new. Or just put your personal files like music, pictures, documents on the new drive and keep the original for windows and programs.
 
The update is for virus definitions, yes. I am working on getting another hard drive, but would want to know if I can update for now.
