Sync contacts

There are hundreds of contacts on my android, both from phone numbers I entered, and some that have been imported form Facebook. My Google account however, has only 10 contacts, people that I email. The Google contacts automatically synced to my phone when I bought it (along with my Facebook friends, and phone numbers that I manually entered on my old phone). Is there a way to add all my contacts from my phone to my Google account? So when I go to google contacts, I see contacts from my email, phone, and Facebook.

How do you mean? Basically I want my phone contacts to sync with the contacts page in my google account (click on "gmail" on the upper lefthand corner of the screen and select "contacts" when the dropdown menu appears"). Is that what you ment by google phonebook?

When you added contacts you really should have chosen to store it on Google, not your phone. I don't know of a bulk way to change it, so you may have to go to each contact and manually change them to be stored on Google.

With an android phone you do not need to have contacts stored on the phone or on sim card.

Just log into gmail.com, just above the compose button, you will see a drop down menu, go to contacts, then select new contact and input your contacts details.

It seems like a chore the first time, but after you set it up your contacts are permenantly stored in google and will sync to any android device automatically, I.E. anytine you change your phone you do not need to keep setting up contacts, as long as it is an android phone they will automatically be synced to it.
