Hi I have 2 computers both with Outlook 2007, how do I make sure that both are in sync.

I would also like to check if my MS Word 2007 documents are in sync as well.

I have not got a clue how to go about it.

Also how do you link both computers together

Sorry I am hopeless at PC work:confused:

To sync data you can use SYNCBACK.
it's easy stuff.
As to connect 2 computers you need to give an overview of your network so we can help.

But in anycase you just right click a folder and go to sharing, just share it.
Then on the other pc you can go to :
Start->Run -> IP of PC sharing the files or
Start->Run -> Computername - name of that computer on the network.

but to sync data with that program you need to map the drive. To map a network drive:

right-click my computer-->Map a network drive.
Then just browse for that Pc sharing the file.

Sounds complex but it's pretty easy stuff

Hi both computers are connected to my Netgear DG834GT internet box

What I would like to do is, when I update the Laptop Outlook or Word document, it updates the other computer automatically.

I have down loaded SYNCBACK, and will look at it

you can setup syncback to sync file like every 20 mins or whatever you want, the file server i used syncs hourly.
As for the connection, it's DCHP, so just make sure you know the Ip of both pcs and do the step i mentioned on the first post
