System Audio with a mac?

I need to be able to record system audio, as well as use the built in mic for my mac book air. Currently with the mac OS, system audio is not an option for audio recording. I know you can do this with sound flower, but I am on a school computer, and do not have an admin password to install it. Any help would be appreciated.

The reality is a software like that will need to be installed which requires root privileges, if it is school related then talk to your IT department and I am sure they will gladly install it for you.
