System crashes whilst in-game, could this be down to OC'inc?

Hello recently I've been having problems with my system crashing whilst playing Battlefield 3, I have recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 260 to a GTX 670 however I do not think this is of any concern as I have the latest drivers. I overclocked my Intel i7 930 from 2.8ghz to 3.6ghz not long ago, and this is when I first noticing the freezing when in-game. I then reset my BIOS to optimized defaults yet I am still experiencing crashing in-game? I am running the game on 'ULTRA' video settings, could this have something to do with it? I presumed my 670 to handle that :S I've posted my rig below, thank-you for any feedback!

Case: NZXT Tempest
CPU: Intel Core i7 9.30 @ 2.8Ghz
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 670
RAM: 6GB Corsair (1066)
PSU: Xclio 600w
MOBO: Gigabyte UD3R-X58
Heatsink: Corsair H60 watercooled

Id say you may be taxing that PSU, your running a upper end cpu, and a upper end gpu, you might want to change that out, else test your ram, that always seems to creep up during gaming.

Thanks for the reply mate, I usually use 3GB RAM (Out of the 6GB) when in game so didn't think it was a memory issue. And I can run prime95 on a blend test for 24 hours stable. Is there any chance you could recommend a PSU that would suit the system? Cheers a lot

A 600w+ power supply from seasonic, silverstone, corsair, or antec would do. That still may not be the problem, but I and many other would suggest that you would want to replace it, anyways.

Its not that its using your max available RAM, its that your RAM may be faulty. Do a memtest to make sure. Also test all your hard drives using their utilities:

Turn your CPU back down to normal for a while and see if it still does it.

If all that checks it, it may be your graphics card.

Sweet! Ive done a memtest to 260% without errors so i guess I better start looking at a new PSU haha, cheers again! The graphics card is only about 2 weeks old surely It can't have died on my in that time? :S

It may have never been good to begin with. It happens, sometimes they send out bad cards. EVGA has fantastic support, so they should send you a new one right away if yours is bad.
