I have been using Zone Alarm internet security suits for a wile now. Ever since i upgraded to 7.0 it causing problems. Its not a big deal. The big thing is that it is now power hungry.

I notice my pc runs much faster with out it.

I am currently use AVG anti virus, very light on the system resource. But i would like to get a firewall that is light on the system resource.

Please tell me a good firewall that does not take up my system resource.

What do you guys think of the windows firewall?

I also need a spyware program. I will only be useing it for scan, it will not be turned on all the time.

I used spybot, I didn't like it, it just keeps finding the same spyware over and over again even though i just removed t.

thanks

Try Comodo firewall,Its similar to Zonealarm and again its free ;) for your firewall.

for a spyware programme i use Trend Micro Anti-Spyware,However its not free.

Thanks Nevakonaza
i will try these programs.
Actually I used Comodo Firewall before, totally forgot about it.

That depends a lot on what you define as "good" :) How much protection you want affects how paranoid the firewall is and the load it poses

I will give Trend Micro another try. had the antivirus with my desktop when i got it 6 years ago. Didn't do a good job keeping virus out though. Used over 400USD to hire these know nothing people to have it fixed. They didn't completely fix it by the way. Fixed it my self by accident. My bro pop the recovery disk into the system and didn't take it out. Imaging how it was like for me when i restarted the computer to see these gods knows what screens. Long story, anyway. the system got reinstalled.

windows defender, wasn't it under another name before it's parent company got purchased by the Microsoft? Used to use it, but have not tried the windows defender. not sure.

downloading Trend Micro right now.

something that keeps out the bad thing without taking much system resource. My sony viao can't take much now a days. its on my sig in green.

I will also be useing it on my brother's pc. so it needs to be something easy that a inexperienced kid can use.

thanks
