my xp sp1 512 mg ram system freezes frecuently, when i go to the task manager the CPU is 100 percent used by one process "explorer.exe", then i finish the process, then new task, explorer.exe, but in a few minutes the problem is again. No virus and spyware found. What can i do?. Thank you.

You could try replacing the file with EXPAND, you'll have to kill the process from task manager first.

Start->Run...Type "cmd"

At the c:\> Type..

"expand D:\I386\explorer.ex_ %systemroot%\explorer.exe"

of course "d:\I386\explorer.ex_" will be altered to to reflect your own CD,DVD drive location.

after the file has been replaced,

Start->Run..."explorer.exe"

Also make sure you replace the file from the appropriate windows service pack.
