If you trust this programs output:
Maximum Capacity 3072 MBytes
Memory Slots 3

which I would take to mean your mainboard has 3 memory slots, and each could hold a 1GB module, for a total of 3GB

however...

...and I would always prefer to see a mainboard manual to check such information. A quick Google search didn't produce any good results.

Assuming it actually has 3 slots, 3GB sounds right. I'm pretty sure the 845s support 1GB sticks.

Crucial's scanner lists that model as taking PC133 memory. http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=527B85FEA5CA7304

Assuming you are referring to the System Info for Windows(SIW) tool seen at http://www.gtopala.com/siw_on_pc_world.html it's showing a max of 512mb for each simm slot for a max of 1.5gb of memory?

That model board goes into the CompaQ Presario 5415WM seeing a single 256mb PC133 simm and 1.5gb maximum.

Standard Memory 256 MB (removable)
Maximum Memory1.5 GB
Memory Expansion 3 sockets
Memory Comments PC133 SDRAM DIMMs
CPU Type1.50GHz Intel Pentium 4
Model Comments 400MHz FSB

Just running a search on the board number found a model that uses it.
