The x300 is a newer chip than the 9600 i think.. but the 9600 should be more pwerfull (not sure tough)
isnt there a demo of FO2, so you could try?

Hi Arch,

No i dont think theres a demo for it.

Why would they make a new card with only 64Mb of memory?

Shouldnt my card be better than a 64Mb Radeon x300?

well i had same results

Try some different video card drivers. More than likely the game is just being ornery and doesn't recognize the card for what it is with the current software installed...

Although It has already been suggested, I also think you should try updating your video drivers.

Sometimes you'll run into this issue also when a game supports features that your card is not capable of. In most of these cases the game runs just fine anyway.

An example would be if a game supports shader model 3 and if you had a shader model 2 card. It might warn you that your card failed but the game would run regardless.

Exactly what I was gonna say. More than likely your card will run it fine, it's "spec sheet/list" just isn't up to par with what the game requirements want.

Although, some games simply refuse to run unless you have the updated "pixel shader" or what have you. An example would be Thief 3, it wouldn't run on my old 9200 because of a similiar problem. A few "workarounds" later, someone developed a patch for this issue. The game actually ran just fine on the older technology, the developers just made it so the game engine refused to start if your gfx card wasn't up to date. Probably a deal with nVidia/ATi to get as many suckers as possible to go out and buy brand new cards.

EDIT: Actually, I might have had my old TNT2 card back then. Either way...it wouldn't run on my out of date hardware until I found a patch for it.

Thanks guys,

Soppose il try updating my drivers and just buy the game anyway.
If it doesnt work,Then il just sell the game to my friend:D
