System restor

There are a verity of issues that can interfere with system restore. Typically in that case it means your restore points maybe corrupt. To fix it you need to disable then enable system restore, this WILL delete all your restore points. Your post is too vague for me to be able to help you.

What kind of computer do you have?
What kind of issue are you having that you want to use system restore?

System restore

It's an H.P. Pavillion, XP , I've tried turning the restore off and on, that didn't do anything.any other ideas? Not having any issues right now, would just like to know it would work, if and when I need it to.

In my experience, any problem severe enough to require a system restore, will usually not work once its used. Either the restore will fail (You can't even to get it to work when your computer is running fine:P) or once it is complete, the problem still remains. As for fixing your current issue, I can't say I'd know where to start, only that I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it not working.
