HI guys

I want to know what setup for a gaming pc to play these games on ultra settings? cpu? main board and video card? For minimum budget.

Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Skyrim

Thank you in advance

A 650TI or 6870 will get you just over 60 FPS in BLOPS 2 according to Guru 3d

A 580 might be able to play BF3 maxed but you will be more comfortable with a 670. 7950 looks like the choice from AMD.

I have no idea about Skyrim. There are a lot of mods out that will change the performance of the game.

How does a 7850 compare to a 6970/50? I'm not saying go with older tech, that is just my frame of reference since I have used those cards.

7850=6950
7870=6970
I would not get a 7850, you could not max out BF3 or Skyrim with it. I would get:
Gigabyte UD3H Z77
i5 3570K
2 x 8 GB G.Skill
1.5 TB WD Black
eVGA GTX 670
Any corsair or NZXT case
Corsair TX 650M
Crucial M4 128 GB SSD
Windows 8 64 Bit

Will come out around $1400.

Not Windows 8 64 Bit x) It's horrible ! I advise you Windows 7 !

For me windows 8 boots up faster than 7 and it never crashes. I don't know why there's so much hate for it. I guess people just don't like changes...

Same here. It is fast at booting and it hasn't crashed on me either. Overall a great OS if you ask me.

I do a lot of these budget Pc builds. I didnt see if you prefered AMD of Intel. But if you go with AMd, and wants some bonus features, i would go generally recomend buying everything from amazon used, But only buy the parts that are marked as "Sold by amazon" and "Fullfilled by amazon promise" They are full warrantied used products, most are still in original packaging. They pay free shipping for RMA, and refund you same day. Now for the build, Its super cheap for amd. for under 1000 you can max BF3. As long as you're not on a giant Tv for a monitor =p. My .02 cents.

3 Tb hard drive (107.00)
AMD 8350(170)
NZXT phantom(87.00)
8 Gb 1600 mhz ram (56.00)

MSI FM2-A85XA-G65 Motherboard(99.00)
HIS H785F2G2M Radeon HD 7850 2GB video card (179.00) I was able to get 60 FPS on Bf3 maxed.
Aprieva LEd PSU 800 wat (60.00)
Windows 8 64 bit (99.00)
Siig IC sound card (39.00)
Thermal Grease (7.00)
Asus Dvd Drive (17.00)
120 Gb SSD (89.00)

Not only will this max all games on Ultra, but it also has a 15 second boot time, when OS is installed on SSD, it WIll OC to 4.5 ghz easy, as well as have a 7.9 Windows index score. Not that it really means anything, Just silly bragging rights. I would generally recomend something like this for a good casual gaming machine. Very reliable.

Not for me Kwane, have you even used it?

No, never but i know a friend who use it. The "homepage" is not very useful.
Indeed, it's not horrible. I was exaggerating but I prefer Windows 7. And it is almost impossible to uninstall the software on the pc.
And Windows 8 is most expensive than 7.
It depends on what you do on the computer.

The faster booting is due to hybrid boot in W8

http://www.techopedia.com/definition/29080/hybrid-boot-windows-8

It is my opinion to disable it. If you ever dual boot or if your hard drive crashes the hibernated state locks the drive from being mounted and accessing your data. Faster booting is nice, but not worth it IMO is something bad happens
