system tray icons

Does anyone know how to remove icons from the system tray, and i mean just the icon. i know how to stop programs from starting up but thats not what i want to do. for example, i dont want my firewall's(zonealarm) icon to appear but i still want it running, obviously.

I don't believe that ZA allows you to remove the icon. Like gamerman said, you can hide it, but it won't be removed.

each program that puts an icon in your tray has it's own settings. you'll have to go into the settings for each of the programs you want to remove. if it's not in the settings somewhere, you probably can't remove it.

not to be rude but....there wasnt really any point in posting that...

the question was how to remove the icons from the tray. i think i answered that perfectly.

my post = 100% more to the point

your post = 0% to the point, but

100% to the point on showing how to contribute nothing to the question at hand.

now i've done the same.
