yes, i been trying to repair this computer, here is the trouble. it will not boot up at all and i purchased a power supply tester and hooked up and got reading that the 4 pin cord going to mother board had no power. so i swapped out with another one and put a pc post analyzer and got code of f-8 which reads in manual detecting the type of flash rom. after a few minutes code went off led read out, no code at all on the led read out now. computer still will not boot up and all help will be appreciated.

Since you tried a different PSU I would look into a new system if it's your motherboard.

Your Emachines appears to have been built around mid season 2006, running a 3300 2.0 Ghz single core Sempron. Guessing around 120GB HDD and (Specs show 256MB's) 512MB's ram.

My old W3052 has similar spec's but I had purchased mine new in July of 2005. 3000+ Sempron at 2.0Ghz, 512MB's ram, 120GB HDD.

While money may be no option for many people, it is for me. I purchased an Emachines ET1331G-03 2.7Ghz dual core, 6GB's ram, 750GB HDD for around $299. It's not a bad system at all for the price I paid new. Plus I've seen people pick these up used for around $20-50. It is an option but then again a new system would be better if price not an option. Sorry to jump off topic here, but yes a 6 year old computer is out of date by my personal standards.

replacing a bad motherboard often fixes the computer aslong as everything else is good.
a replacement board can be found online, like on e-bay

either that or get another computer and use the old one for parts.

I'm pretty sure I said that :D

You can easily find out what motherboard you have in your system going by Emachines spec's and replacing it if you chose. I personally have to recommend a new system but if the one you have serves you as it is, don't buy/build a new one.
No real reason to get a new system if your just surfing the web. Extra ram may help though.
