T6600 vs P8600

Is there a massive difference between the performance of these 2 processors?

i am deciding between a refurbished dell with the P8600, or a brand new sony vaio with the T6600

would be using for light gaming, maybe making tunes, recording etc as well as office accounting word etc etc

There isn't gonna be a massive diff but the P8600 is slightly faster and has higher FSB, higher cache too!

The P8600 was launched in Fall 08', the T6600 was out in first quarter this year!

if the processor isnt much different i'll go with the sony, as its brand new and the dell is a refurb. i guess the build quality of the sony would be better aswell?

I suppose in this instance..between these 2 models, I'd go with the Sony, since the differences are small and the Sony is 'NEW' not refurbed.
