Tablet to replace my Laptop

Hello. I am looking for a tablet that is as powerful as my laptop: Intel Core i5 M520 2.4GHz, 4GB Ram, Win7 32bit.

I currently use my laptop to run software for my coffee roasting. I want to change over to a touchscreen PC tablet to eliminate using a keyboard and make for a sleeker set-up.

I want to spend as little as possible while still acheiving the same power as the software is a little demanding (Artisan - Roaster Scope)

I was looking at a used Surface Pro i5, 1.6GHz; however, I don't know how to compare power and could not answer is this enough or is it more than I need. I don't know, but I do not think GHz is the only parameter.

Mike do you need a windows based tablet?

Does your software work with Android OS, for example?
