Taking over a computer on a Network

I was thinking the other day that it would be really fun to be able to take over my dads computer while he was playing a video game. But i have no idea how to do this. I would like to use my monitor, mouse, and keyboard but use his computer. Is there any possible way to do this?
 
Yes there is, ultra vnc: http://www.uvnc.com/

install the server to his pc and set a password.

connect to it with the client from your pc, enter the password and you'll be able to view what hes doing/take full control using your keyboard/mouse

I think he meant the original poster is posting a false question to gain knowledge to use in a more malicious way. This forum does not support hacking so these topics tend to tread the line.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish, just a prank?
 
Ah I see, sounds like a harmless prank really :/ would be very hard to exploit this as a hacking technique.
 
This really is just a simple harmless prank. My dad sits on the other side of the wall from me and i think that one night while he is playing COD4 to cut it off from him and start playing. He would know it was me right away but probobly be pretty confused for a sec. If i were to hack a computer, i wouldn't ask people how to do it on this site.
 
Yeah, you would. If your new you probably don't know the rules. This could be some underground hacking group or something.
