TCP FIN Scan? Slow internet?

I've been having weird things going on with my router and internet.

I have a Belkin router, a Speedstream modem that came with our DSL forever ago, and a Belkin G USB wireless adapter.

When I had my old computer I was always suffering from random disconnects, slow speed, and general bad luck with internet. After trying so many different things we've now jokingly referred to my room as having a black hole for wifi.

Anyway on my old computer I would have TCP FIN scans and UDP floods coming from my computer. I thought this was extremely odd. It would show up in my Security Log as from a several random IP's then to mine. My internet also was as I said, generally not good. Related?

When I got my new computer I used the same USB adapter. As of a few days ago my internet problems are starting to come back. Not nearly as bad though. I checked my security log and I now have a TCP FIN scan every once in a while on my computer.

What is it? Is it bad? Causing internet issues? From what little I could find on the internet, it seems to be from a torrent of some type. I have absolutely no torrent softwares that I know of. I did a system restore and I still have issues.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Can you post the report? It's either from gaming servers or you are getting ddos attacks.
