i may buy this, its around 1 year old and im looking for opinions
the selller has asked for $650 AUSD for it!!

Looks pretty good, except for the ram. You should upgrade that to at least 1 GB when you receive it. Only upgrade it to 1gb if you are planning to game with it. If your just doing it for internet browsing, word processing etc...it will run more than fine. Good luck with the purchase.

I would say thats a decent price. Is this being built for you or did you order it from a site like Dell or Gateway? If that price includes shipping and warranty then i'd say its pretty good. What ya using it for?

Simply overclocking the card doesnt make it an 9800Pro. You'll need to unlock the extra 4 pipes

That and be carful when buying overclocked stuff. It may have a shortened life span and other problems may develop.

I will be using it for ordinary word and web browsing aswell a handful of games nothing intense though,

and , im buying it off a friend 1 year old

and its $650 not $950 AUSD
and $650 is yes its over $500 USD
australia/sydney is the worlds higest taxed cities

could i get some feedback on peoples opinion on pricing

yes i will be upgrading to 1gig of RAM if i deceide to buy

You could always find a better deal on that stuff on the web, but then you would have to buy each part from a different store or person. I think you have a pretty good deal on your hands.

I dunno about Sydney being the most heavily sales-taxes cities in the world but thats not a bad price ... I could od better but as noted id have to get the parts individually

Get an emachines t6212
I love the reasoning there ... of course you do realize the T6212 has integrated video thus limiting its flexability
