Tell us your case and make a case (no pun intended) for it

ok so what I wanted everyone to do is show us what case you are using and if you want show us some pictures with specs. Also tell us why you chose your case.

I chose the Foxconn TS001-V-D350A located here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811153089&Tpk=Foxconn TS001-V-D350A
I took a risk with it since it was cheap I wasnt sure if was going to be decent quality or not, but I turned out pleasantly satisfied.

This is why I chose this case...

- cheap
- well built
- exterior is simple but rugged looking
- thumb screws for the side panel
- sideways facing hard drive bay
- cooling cone that supplies cool air directly to the cpu
- side vent that allows cool air for the video card to come through
- I liked the locations for the 2 92mm fans
- came with a psu that I used on another computer
- the easy pop on and off front panel
- small number of drive bays which reduced size of case, since I only use 1 optical drive

I have the Elite 340
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119149

I got it because..

-it's small
-it's cheap
-it supports 2 x 120mm fans (front + rear)
-it's pretty light
-it doesn't have tool-less mounting (I hate the tool-less mounting stuff, it never works out right and is IMO a bigger pain than screws)
-it fits full size aftermarket heatsinks
-the front mesh looks really cool with a green lazer LED device behind it.

I also modded the case a fair bit.

I like those 2 optical drive bays, makes the computer a good bit shorter. Seriously who has more then 2 optical drives anyway? Least number of optical drive bays was one of the major specs I watched for when searching.

I have the Antec 900 (version one)

I got it because..

-fans
-fans
-fans
-fans
-200mm fan
-lights
-fans

I also modded the case a fair bit.

:P

I have the PowerUp ATX. The only reason I have it is because it came with the barebones I got in 2006. I also chose that barebones because this case had a lot of lights. The molex connectors for the front panel lights suck (the connectors come out of the plastic), and the restart button LED blew out. The PSU is on it's way out (I know - PSU's that come with cases suck. I'm surprised it lasted this long!) and it's really flimsy (The side panel is a pain to get off). I can't wait for a new build so I can change my case.

Heres my case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811166011

I got it because its clear and I wanted to see everything in my computer. I also got it cause it can use a lot of fans. It was also semi cheap.

The only thing I dont like about it is it was a pain in the ass to put together took me about 2 and a half hours. It also is kinda flimsy you gotta be careful with it but other than that it is a great case.

My boss and I are thinking that will be the next build after we sell the Big Red InWin case we built, and after the Stealth InWin case we have. My boss made a Harley themed machine with this Orange InWin case.

InWin is a really good company. The cases are really high grade steel with automotive quality paint. Lots of space to work with inside also.

When I fired up "Big Red" for the first time, I didn't know here was a speaker in it that sounds like a revving racecar. It scared the crap outta me! My boss was laughing like crazy. :o

Antec 900 V2

got it because it was $50 at the time, and because it was better then the case i had before. and all that stuff Danny said.

NZXT Nemesis Elite Black

- I was 14 at the time and thought it looked sweet (i wish i had a slightly less gaudy one but as a bit of consolidation, my art teacher in high school had a comp with the same case)
- Tool-less design
- Had only 120mm fans so quieter.
- EXTREMELY sturdy, this case has been put through hell for 5 years and is as stable as ever.
- Black and Silver like everything else I own (my monitor, keyboard, mouse, desk, etc..are black and silver)
- had a $30 rebate (case was $120 so it was a good deal at $30 less)
- The frontal USB ports are on the top of the case (i like my case on the floor, not on the desk)
- front fan is hidden behind the front panel (i dont like cases with fans just there in the front, so no i dont like the antec 900/1200)
- has a tray that holds the mobo which gives it about a half an inch of room between the mobo and side to neatly hide unused power cables.
- case has holes on certain places so cable management is easier.
- the front door swings out to the right, most cases I seen have a door with hinges on the left.

Mines the Antec 1200
Reasons I got it?
Fans and lots of them-5 120mm's with the option for two more as well as an 200mm.
9 hard drive bays
Bottom mount psu
Great option for cable management
Front panel usb, audio, and e-sata
Enough room for anything
Side window
Room for a water-cooler
Easily removable doors
And last but not least thumb screw

I have the CoolerMaster 690 (cm690).

Why?

Plenty of spots for fans
Quiet
Lots of airflow
tooless (this design actually works)
nice color scheme
looks quiet and powerful
not flashy.

I have a HAF 932 on order

-it has plenty of size for expanding
-one of the best cooling air cases if not the best
-because it uses large fans at low rpm's it is fairly quiet running.

-very ergonmic with good layout for periphials 4 front usb ports.(ie. headphones, mic etc.)
-cable routing and cpu cooler mounting easy due to spaces in motherboard tray
-reasonably priced for what all it offers

Antec 300.
- Mesh front to flow lots of air.
- Mesh on side for fan pointed at video card.
- Standard 2 x huge 120mm 3-speed fans at back and top.
- Tool-less screws for opening case make it fast to get in and out.
- Quiet boot and run.

I love it.

i have the rosewill R6AS5. it has been a great case and i'd recommend it to anyone, but i want to get a 900 so i can customize it and do a red light conversion
