OK. I have a quick question for you all. Before i begin i know i definatly need more cooling, but heres the thing.

I have been using MBM to check my temperatures and it says its about 49C idle and 54C full load. However ive just been looking in my bios and that is claiming 63C idle WTF? That has me concerned...Should i trust MBM or should i go with the bios reading?

Thanks in advance.

Stock cooling...Thing is ive been ok with it as i never thought it was to high till i just looked in the bios

My P4 prescott is around 55 idle and 65 load. Im investing in water cooling as you can tell from my sig. What processor are you running, prescotts are designed to withstand a bit more heat than others.

hav you tried tyhe simply task of removing the hsf, replacing the thermal paste, and resitting the hsf again, that can really help.

Also are you overclocking at all?

What do you expect with that skt478 pressi :D :D i stick with my northwood and 512kb L2 he he. Prescotts are not designed to withstand more heat than others, but through bad architecture the skt478 run hot. Its no a problem in the 775 models.
