Templates on a DC

I need to know how to install the securedc template on a single domain controller. I tried, I used the security configuration and analysis snap in in MMC. I also did the analyse or audit, it showed the settings like mandatory password length 8 characters. Then when I create a password for a user It will accept 7, the old default.:eek:
 
make sure the GPO is assgined to the OU that the users are in, make sure that the GPOs are saved and applied and every once in a while, a reboot might have take an affect that should normally take effect on its own, but it happens sometimes.
 
No, i just want the template for the one dc, not the whole domain, I am thinking GPO is for multiple DCs
 
its assignable to one computer,multiple computers, one server, multiple servers, users or one user. its up to how you create OU's in AD and how you set up the GPO's in the MMC console in AD for the GPO's.
