Temps and funny noises

Hey guys, i got some new parts lately, among them was a ATi 1900xtx.

I am testing it out, i installed fear end turnt everything on/up to max runnin at 1280 x 1024, the fps are good average at 50.

I play for bout 15mins then close it down at chck the card temps, it showed 92C, i know the XTX is a powerful card, but does tht seem a lil too high?

Another problem is weird noises, i only really hear them when set to low resolutions (640x480) i herd them in 3dmark 06 when it was running the cpu tests, everytime a frame was generated there was a short noise commin from inside ma case (got cover off atm) i cnt describe the noise, but i doubt it is the fan, doesn't sound like a fan noise to me.

Just wanted to get some views/input from you guys. Much appreciated :D

thats pretty much what i would expect of a modern high-end card to be honest; although i would consider it to be a little on the high side, maybe consider trying to improve ventilation on your system to improve things a little

i've heard of other people with a clicking noise... i think its either due to expansion of metal on the cooler or the fan catching on the cooler

at current time the noise only occures when in a 3d enviroment where the CPU is the main player, in terms of the gfx, like the 3d mark 06 cpu test and fear menu when set to 640x480.

the only similarities i see between our machines is tht we r both usin an ATi gfx card, im gonna put my 7800gt in tomorrow and see if i still get the noise.
