Temps before swapping to new HSF.

Hi guys.

I got a quick question. When OCing a E6300, what temps should I be able to run it effieciently with the stock HSF and when should I upgrade to a better one? Right now I have at oced at 2.00 ghz at it runs at 26C idle and 40C at 100% load according to PC wizard and orthos.

Keep it under 50C under full load and you will be safe. I would not trust temps above that with the stock HSF.

Keep the full load core temps at/below 55C to avoid any impact on lifespan.

Stock heatsinks are absolutely fine for overclocking. I oc-ed my Athlon with a stock HS (but I didn't bother changing the voltage; was still a bit of a novice back then).
