Temps going up with USB device

So on my system in my sig my processor sits at about 38oC idle, but for some reason when I plug my cell phone into the USB port on the front of my case my CPU temp jumps up to 51oC. I'm not sure if its just an issue with SpeedFan picking up the speed with a USB device in (not sure how that would happen) or what. Any ideas? I just can't figure out how a USB device plugged in but not being used would make my CPU run hotter.

I did try other ports with the same issues. Also, I can even plug my camcorder into the same USB port on the front without the temps going up. Could it have something to do with my cell phone pulling power from the USB port?

I can't see by plugging in your cell phone it would have any bearing on the CPU. Have you looked in Task Manager to see what if any process is utilizing the CPU ?

Nothing is running, my CPU show's 0% with the phone plugged in, as long as I'm not doing anything else obviously.
