Temps on HD3870

Hey guys, my card currently idles at 47-49C and ~88C under load (COD4). Are these temps acceptable? Will they decrease if I set the fan to fixed 50% (from 25%)???

I dunno what is common for that card, but 90*c is pretty hot.. Not saying it's very bad, most graphics card can function up to 125*c, without losing any performance, or crashing etc. At this point it seems like it's just going to be a heater inside your case, making everything alittle hotter.

You can bring stock fan speed up, dunno how much it's going to help.

Well, I increased the stock fan setting to 50% (from 25%) and the card idled at 36C and under load went up to the 60'sC. That is an improvement but one problem. I was playing COD4 to load the GPU and switched to CCC to see temps then when I switched back to COD4, my monitor went pitch black. The weird thing is that the led on the monitor stayed green (you know, it goes goes orange when there is no signal). Could there be problem with my PSU not giving enough power to the video card????

Thanks for the help :)

Good!

I've had the the monitor thing happen to me before, I dunno what the deal is but i doubt it's that much of a problem. My PSU is more than enough for my card, I believe. :)
