Text disappeared from Word document.

A few minutes ago, while I was scrolling, the text disappeared. I closed and opened the document again, and the text was back, and all ended well. But I'm now freaking out. Why did that happen? Will it happen again? Is it possible that I might lose all my hard work permanently?

Little glitches can happen time to time. Have you tried updating the video driver lately? I've seen where sporadic movement of the mouse can cause things like this as well. What program was the text document in?

How do I update the video driver?

I'm not sure which version of Word it is. It was already installed in the laptop when I bought it.

Open device manager expand display adapters, right click on the entry in there and click on update driver.
