Text on desktop

Im looking for a software which i can write text on the desktop.U know like when u have a beta version of windows.It shows the beta type,version etc..on the lower right.!!

am looking for something that can do this but with my own text ...any ideas
 
Yeah, Get the wallpaper you are using and open it in paint or any other image editing software and stick the text where you want and then save it and set that picture as your wallpaper...
 
Thats all Microsoft did I believe, just open the wallpaper in a photo editing program and enter text where you would like it.
 
Come on guys i expected more from u.Painting my wallpaper is NOT what i had in mind.I want a program that can do my text but as wallpaper changes the text remains...if there is no such software that's ok cuz im just asking if there is...

Haha. No, there is software that can. I'm certain of it, because I had one which could do it. I just can't remember the name of it... :(
