The 9800s ?

ya im trying to research the 9800s and ive tried finding that thread on here about them and when they come out, can anyone help me out or tell me info about them ?

that info hasn't been released yet, and they probably won't be called 9800's seeing how ATI had a vid card called that.

heck there's barely any info about teh 89 series except prices supposedly spring of 08. so by that time that "9800's" come out, the system i just put together will be "out of date" and he could probably build a better one for the same price.

No, the laptop 8700 is coming out in Nov though. You could always get the 8800 ultras in Nov and hope to do the step-up program for the guy.
