The Best "Bang for the Buck" Gaming Laptops...

Hi,

I'm looking into laptops because I go to a lot of LAN parties and am sick of hauling around my computer. I know it's not really that bad, but I'm just lazy.

Anyways, do you guys know of any decent gaming laptops for under $1000? I knew that my chances of finding a good gaming laptop for under $1000 is really slim but I would just like to make sure.

Dell 8600c with the basic configuration and a 128MEG ATI graphics card for around a thousand with discounts.

for under $1K your not going to get much, i would seriously just get a space saver computer and a flatscreen LCD, that would be ALOT more powerful than a $3K laptop and cheaper. but if you must then look at those ^

You can get a 17" widescreen HP pavillion. I did the research and it's the best bang for your buck. www.hp.com. I'd go with the configure setting if I were you that way can assemble the laptop you want. Mine was aroun $1,600 but loaded.

Thanks for the replies you guys! What do you think is the most powerful game that these laptops could handle is? I generally play Diablo 2: LOD, DoD, CS, and some other half-life mods. Thank you!

My HP Pavillion ZD7000 runs pretty much any game just fine.
