Can anyone come up with a really cheap system that would run Linux and be optimized for F@H? I think it'd be kind of cool if we could get a real cheap list on here so that people can make a F@H system with spare cash.

Fermi? Well, OK. Perhaps not on the cheap, but modern GFX cards do quite well with F@H. Or, you could get a new PS3 on the cheap.

I would think the best bang for the buck would be one of the new i5s.

A cheap i7 860 rig would probably be best folding bigadv for ppd/cost/watt, much better ppd than graphics cards. Could do an i7 860 + Cheap mobo+Cheap gpu+Recertified Power Supply, and then a bootable folding cd.
