The hits just keep coming

More trouble, again. Now I've installed everything but the graphics card, and now I'm just down to plugging stuff in. I have the Rosewill Challenger U3 case with 3 pre-installed fans, but I can't figure out where the top and front fans plug in. They each have one plug for power, but they have another one that looks like the opposite kind of plug; however, I can't find where to plug it in. Maybe on my gigabyte 970a-ud3 mobo? There is a four pin plug on the end of the psu cable and and a four pin plug on the mobo for a system fan and power fan. Should I plug the psu into one of those and just plug the fans into the psu?

You can plug the fans straight into the PSU. They have a male and a female molex connector since some PSU's have one or the other. The fans having both plugs makes them compatible with more PSU's.

Thanks, but what about the motherboard "sys_fan1" and the similar looking plug on the end of the psu?
Edit: and to add a second problem to this thread, I have an old vga monitor that isn't compatible with the computer I'm building. Is there any way I can use my laptop as a monitor/keyboard for my tower? I do have an hdmi port on my laptop and one on the graphics card. Will that help at all?

No, you can't use your laptop in that way. Your case fans have a molex or a smaller connection? Does your monitor only have a vga connection and the video card only have a dvi/hdmi? Then you need a vga/hdmi converter.

The case fans only have the plugs which go into the psu, and are pretty big. My monitor only has a vga connection. The video card has two dvi and one hdmi. Do I need a converter or can I get a cable? cables are much cheaper and I was planning on buying a new monitor in a month or sooner.

My psu has a molex plug, and the fans plug into the psu. Should I plug the psu into the mobo? is what I'm asking.

If you mean the fan connectors on the mobo you don't plug anything from the PSU to them. The fan connectors provide power to the fans.

Not if they're plugged in to the PSU itself. It just provides max power to them and thus max speed and noise. If you want to control them either get some converters to plug into the motherboard or a fan controller.

Also you might have gotten a VGA to DVI converter with your video card (especially if it's a newer one).

That's what I did, but now another hit: I installed nvidia gpu drivers and restarted my pc when it said to, but now it wont load. The screen flashes between black and more black.
