The Internet Explorer Problem

I use the internet explorer, and for some reason after this weekend I am unable to visit certain sites. When I try to check email, or go to a number of other sites for some reason it just times out. I have had this problem before about 2 months ago and I thought that I had fixed it by doing a system restore, scannow, re-downloading all the updates etc. although for some reason the problem is back and I cant fix it this time, please help me. It is very bothersome not to be able to check my email from home.

no. although its very good and most people here uses it im sure.. thats if u want to bypass ur problems in IE.. although if u do switch, you might still need IE for some particular pages not viewable in firefox in the long run also..

yes ie is really insecure as opposed to firefox or others like opera.. do you have ie6 or 5? beta 7? .. in anycase, try this tool:

the fact that you can get to some sites and not to others, makes me think you may have malware present on your machine. Try running through the security sticky .
 
I will check out that site and let you guys know, thank you very much. When you say run it through security, what do you mean by that?
 
hmm i had the same problem but i just made the secruity abit weaker in the internet configurations. tho its a little bit more risky to have it like that
